ABOUT EF

For over 55 years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to one global mission: Opening the World Through Education. Our programs help students expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, grow more confident and independent, and understand new people, places, and cultures.

11 days
Costa Rica, Peru

Our relationship with the Earth is about where we’ve come from as much as it is about where we’re going.

After harnessing The Power of Environmental Stewardship at our inspiring leadership conference in Costa Rica, you’ll head to Peru to explore how ancestral wisdom and sustainable living practices have coexisted for centuries. Peruse pre-Columbian artifacts in Lima’s Larco Museum, try your hand at ceramics with locally sourced materials, and discover traditional Andean weaving techniques from present-day entrepreneurs. You'll return home with a profound understanding of how indispensable natural resources are to Indigenous communities and how crucial it is to protect them.

EF Summits are open to rising 9th graders through graduated seniors.
